I always liked the look of those cars. Very rare to see nowadays, and probably for a reason. We had a 96 Stratus with all of that “cab forward” design business. It was fine, and it did have a ton of room inside, but the seats were horrible, and it never seemed like it really wanted to go when you told it to.

What a nice example of that old Concorde and a well-written ad. I almost want to buy it just to reward them for such a nice presentation.

F amily friends of mine used to rent Intrepids/Concorde s for road trips when I was a kid. Seemed pretty good for that anyway, lots of room for three kids in the back without needing to murder my friend’s little brother. I liked the Intrepid more than the Concorde though, a bit of a sportier look.

My mom had nearly that same car. The transmision died at 20k, it was fixed under lemon law, and then it was actually pretty solid for the next 100k or so until she got rid of it.
These things are huge. True land barge. Hard as hell to park for a 16 year old new driver. The suspension was pretty comfy and they were good for highway road trips but FWD, huge and heavy made for dicey at best handling.

Transmissions ‘o glass, but an admirable preservation piece, maybe a good deal for a 90s enthusiast. These were a big deal when new.

Not my favorite color and I don’t like leather seats but otherwise I do like it. Very unlikely that I will ever meet one in similar condition.

My father had an Eagle Vision of the same generation. Nothing about it really stood out to me at the time, but now I look back on it fondly for its sleek styling and excellent 360° visibility. Especially when you compare those cars against the bloated generat ion of Concordes/Intrepids/etc that followed. Oof
